Jesus in the interval between death and birth, all have heard the Gospel, even tribes isolated in time and geography
This is post regarding the subject of recurrence as it's understood in Fourth Way literature, specifically Ouspensky's Fourth Way, or his essay on recurrence in New Model of the Universe.
In the long body of our living time there is an interval between death and birth. The Bible calls the place of this interval Hades. Jesus is said to have descended to this place. It would be here that Jesus could contact all individuals who have ever lived. It gives the doctrine that no man is innocent new meaning. Not just not innocent regarding knowing God exists, but not innocent regarding knowing of Jesus and the Gospel.
Jesus Himself is special revelation, just as the engrafted word of the Old and New Testaments are special revelation.
Obviously this answers the question: What about people, tribes, etc. who never had an opportunity to hear the Gospel?
We all hear it, ultimately, in that interval between death and birth as explained by recurrence. This does not argue for universalism, obviously, and recurrence is not reincarnation. If you don't know what it is learn about it or move along. Nobody is reading this anyway. Including you, nobody.
