Maybe this is why Pink is rather on-the-mark doctrinally
Read this on a blog:
I was just reminded, by a post on a discussion list I belong to, that A. W. Pink (1886-1952), the English theologian, Bible commentator, and author, read through the entire Bible 3 times per year during his first ten years as a Christian (1908-1918). He did this by reading 8 chapters in the Old Testament daily, and 2 chapters from the New Testament daily. He wrote to a correspondent, years later, that this was the best way to get acquainted with the Bible's contents, as well as to get oneself a grand overview of the Bible as a whole, in these great sweeping stretches of reading.
