Hour glass
If you've got an hour glass type alarm on any of your gadgets use them. Just set a 15 minute alarm and be in the third state for that amount of time, right where you are. It has surprising effect. And it's practical. And it pulls you back in the direction of practical activity. We're going to die. Let's not fall back asleep into the wheel of the fourth dimension. Let's crash through that interval that is the second conscious shock. Failure is a necessary stage, but it's a stage in the past now.
