Some notes in the summer of '07 , pt. 2

I'm not saying acquire Turretin, necessarily. I'm saying the Work is at the foundation of Wisdom Herself. You just see it validated in a great work like Turretin's Institutes. And everywhere else. You see, in other words, that it is foundational knowledge rather than surface knowledge. Foundational like the Bible.

I'm now listening to Samuel Feinberg's hard-to-find classic recording of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier. Piano.

Getting back some armour.

I also worry that I'll literally lose my ability to be awake in a 'rote' self-remembering sense, so I am forcing myself back into those efforts. And I fell quickly asleep this evening when I began it. As I've done a few times in the recent past. But the efforts weren't really begun with real valuation. Just sort of, Oh, OK, it's the top of the hour, I think I'll stay away for each fifteen minute interval for a few hours here... Then...kerplunk. Waking sleep.
