On the Bernard of Clairvaux post below
On the Bernard of Clairvaux post below, I just thought it was interesting that he seemed to be talking about Scripture in terms of something like higher visual language, and that by talking of degrees of spiritual development he was touching on level of being (and gauging it by 'love of God' is interesting too), and then hitting on the theme of real will as God's will was interesting. Who he is, his life, all that, is probably not that interesting. I suspect there is alot of RCism there. In fact, I think he also had a role in how the RC church dealt with the Cathars and all that. Maybe not a negative role, but... I know Calvin seems to mention him alot in his writings.
Being interested in a human being is silly actually, for obvious reasons. And it's the old thing: "Hey, this famous person seems to be on, or close to, interesting things!" So...so what? If you're already on to the full program, maybe you can stop looking for validation in the world or in history, i.e. finding things where a little trace of the truth seems to have been held to by person x, y, or z...
I'm talking to myself... But you know what I'm saying... At some point one has to think in terms of learning from the level of C Influence... That requires higher centers...
