The Logos, the Work
You accumulate the Spirit, you realize the Logos. Practically.
Jesus is the Logos.
The Logos is Real I in you. You have the Logos when you have the degree of it called Observing I.
Behind Real I is God the Father.
C Influence is the Holy Spirit.
God is one in substance, and three persons.
When the Logos seems similar to the Spirit (and you then think that God the Father is Spirit) you have to remember the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one in substance, and three Persons.
What am I saying? You can go through life as a believing Christian with real saving faith and say things like "I must build myself 'up' in the faith" and "Jesus is in me" and so on, yet never realize it practically. The Work gives you language and experience and guidance for effort to realize it.
Jesus is the "I am." God. I am. The moment a human being can say "I am" or "I am here" and it is real he has the beginning of the Logos. He has Observing I.
A dictionary of theology will give several definitions of 'logos', some from Greek philosopical understanding some from Christian understanding, but they all correspond to the inner ascending scale of unity of I's, and order and conscience (voice of God in you) and consciousness that is Observing I to Real I. From the sleep-chaos of Imaginary 'I' to the development of magnetic center (regeneration by the Word - Logos - and the Spirit) to the emergence of Observing I. I am. I am here. The basic level of conscious presence in your inner being. That is the first degree of realizing the Logos. You had Him in you before, but you hadn't realized Him.
The Spirit is an influence, an energy, you accumulate (and you are given). The Logos, or Word, is something you realize within you. When you make efforts to be in Observing I and higher, the 3rd state of consciousness and higher, self-remembering and non-identifying and separtion, you are making effort to realize the Word (the Logos) within you.
I've been getting knocked around lately by C Influence (I'll put it like that). I've been getting strong messages that are all directing me back to the Work. The latest is this obvious, well-known, yet not well-understood teaching of John in the Gospel of John 1:1. The fact is: the strange language of the Bible that is hard to understand or realize (you must be in Jesus, you must be in the Spirit, Jesus in you, etc., etc.) is given practical realization in the language of the Work, if you're first able to see it and then value it. Gurdjieff said: the ABCs of Christianity. Behind Real I is God. He was a wily teacher. A deep teacher. Deep in a role. And disciplined.
The Bible says run your race to win. Heaven must be taken by force. Once you know how there is no other way to go but to sleep and lies and justifications for not doing what you know you need to do.
And this post is talking about the internal realization of Christ and the Spirit and God the Father. There is an external realization which is death glorification and heaven and involves a new body, or glorified body and literal new environment and so on. Also such things as angelic activity in your life. Things that happen to you externally. Jesus is not solely in you, in other words.
