Interesting...

I was reading the Puritan Board (the forum I'd been banned from for defending the manuscripts the King James Version is based on, etc., etc.) and I noticed a guy there had had his posting priveleges revoked. I'd only known him (by his posts) as a nice type who never ruffled feathers like me, so I was interested in seeing what his last post was, or the thread he was involved in, that got him effectively banned. Lo and behold it was one of the translation/manuscripts threads. And what was his crime? He posted this article (a PDF article, kind of technical, but not really, and very short; the main site it's from I didn't know about, defends the Received Text and AV1611, and is here).

I find this interesting because the people who run this large Christian forum are educated enough to understand the issues of the corrupt manuscripts, or to at least be sceptical of manuscripts that delete and distort the Word of God; and they have bios of people who 'should' value the Bible; yet look what they do. They ban people who defend the manuscripts that underly the King James/Authorized Version.

I see evil at work in this. I really do. These people have no excuse. They can't claim ignorance. The guy I mentioned above goes by: Martin. Itinerant preacher and Bible teacher in Merrie England. Worshipper at Exeter Independent Evangelical Church, Exeter, Devon. He even sounds easy-going. So he merely posts the above-linked article --- and he's gone. Such a crime. Yes, there is definitely something to these New Age Bible versions. We who see it get mocked, but so be it. It's there. And what is being mutilated and distorted is the very Holy Scriptures themselves. The foundation of the faith. (These people don't even fear the warning from God himself regarding what he does to those who take anything away from his book...)
