Addition to that last post...

I should add that Work understanding is increased when you truly get above false personality (which is vanity, worldly pride, and self-will) and connecting with the Word of God and God Himself and engaging in very exoteric levels of, for instance, prayer is part of real inner development. Jehovah-jirah means the Lord will provide. You need the Lord. You can't save yourself. The son of man hath no where to lay his head. Unlike the foxes and birds and so forth. You need the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God in your heart) and the shield of faith, for protection, as well.

The Work is only something if it is on the foundation of regeneration by the Word and the Spirit. The Work then is knowledge for the active role in sanctification. A very big thing to know and do. The Word and the Spirit save, though, and are the foundation.

The Work then adds new things such as ability to understand everything. Guidance into understanding everything. - C.
