what makes Work different 3

The advantage to a soul of catching on to just the exoteric level of Christian teaching is...everything. It means you are no longer a totally helpless prisoner of the Kingdom of Satan. It means you have protection. You have a connection. This is progressive, or, by degree. Because regeneration is the main thing, and it is rare among Christians themselves. Yet there are degrees of connection approaching full regeneration. And when a person has a degree of connection with God that person begins to have protection. This manifests in many ways all throughout your time. It manifests in the interval between death and birth as well.

It manifests in your entering stages of recurrence where you are able to awaken and develop and make real contact with higher influences and rare knowledge.

Seen in this light one can reconcile the difference between the enormity of value of being a believing, saved Christian even just at the Man #1,2,3 level and the enormity of value of entering the Man #4 level. The two are part of the same way. The former is necessary for the latter to occur.

A person thinking about this now can ponder this: if you are negative towards the exoteric level of Christian teaching it could be because of two different possibilities: (1) because you havn't yet connected with that level, or (2) because that level is in your past (in recurrence) and you need to move on with the Man #4 level, and staying at the past level is now harmful for you.

Before you consider yourself as being in the (2) category consider whether or not you actually know the exoteric level and whether or not you have an 'essence level' connection with it and good will and understanding towards it or if you just really actually are negative towards it like any human being still under the control of their vanity and worldly pride and self-will is negative towards God's teaching and message. You can try to fool others, but there's really no point in reading this and attempting to fool yourself.

The Man #4 level requires regeneration. It requires a full connection with the Holy Spirit. The Work is a language of the Holy Spirit. A person can learn work terms and practices and be involved to varying degrees, but without the Spirit of Truth in you you won't be able to see the work or truly do it.

Me telling you this plays a role in your development. There's really nothing a person can do but to continue to stumble along (I speak of all of us) with our efforts. Effort with higher influences (which eventually leads to God); efforts with the Work as we are able to see it and do it; efforts in navigating our lives as we find ourselves in them, in varying conditions and situation, with perhaps rules having been given us by C Influence that we either run from or acknowledge and use to awaken.

You can see that effort is everything; and real, effective effort can only be applied to higher influences and activities that develop centers, all centers in a balanced way, and to accumulating energy of consciousness as best we can do that, and to struggle with friction when we meet with it to transform it rather than indulge negative/mechanical behaviour.

Eventually you begin to approach the summit of the mountain and perspective arrives with that along with inner unity and understanding.
