S., I zapped the forum in the more definitive way I did so that I couldn't, in weakness, start it up again. Everybody was unsubscribed, and I made it 'closed' so it would be even out of sight.

You can't keep going over the basics without a break. This is all obvious and has been said, but, really, a living forum, a living teaching, can only present the basics, to whatever extent the people present are able to take it in (determined by their current capacity for [for holding] understanding), and then effort has to be made.

Effort has to be made and time is needed for that and is also needed for any development to then take effect.

What happens if you don't allow for that is just the kind of retrograde motion that occured.

Read the 'Durations' posts on the Durations blog. Put some of those money signs - $ - in your bank account. This is effort. Develop fame. (Fame with Influence C.) Beautiful women would be higher emotional energy.

Listen to high-influence music periodically (like I've been recording on my Unto Perfection site). It has a real effect if you do it in the form of an aim and you choose a set of them based on some kind of universal pattern. It is easy to do (not as much effort as reading a high-influence book, for instance), but at the end of a cycle (or previous project) an easy effort is not out-of-place. Especially one that harmonizes...

I was thinking recently that as large a dose of Gibbon as you've been getting can have a warping effect. Somewhat like reading de Sade for 2700 pages. Not the same, but human history as Gibbon presents it can be a heavy dose of dense, worldly violence (nasty, brutish) along with all the other things Gibbon gives. Tremendous work to have read complete though. An unusual accomplishment. Will profit a person in many untold, unseen ways. Just as a a large cache of material to have inside you for other things to bounce off of and be seen in comparison to and in the light of...all that multidimensionality of knowledge and understanding playing off each other dynamic that goes on inside one when you give yourself such material to work with. Once you have three dimensions - at least three sources of influence of one of the universal categories of influence - at work inside you then the scale jumps and life appears. One, it's something, but just a start. Two, it's better than just one, but it's like the game Pong, very simple. Three, this is the beginning of new life and speed and light.

Influences, effort with higher influences, builds on itself. He who has more, more will be given to. The more higher influence you have in you the more you can attract, and the higher you can attract. This is another aspect to it all.

Remember those durations efforts though. You can be up, or down, or lost, or currently mixed up, or depressed, or enthusiatic, or whatever, and if you just do those durations efforts you won't be static. If you have energy of consciousness to work with you will be developing one way or another. Get ye consciousness (energy of consciousness) and all else will follow in its wake. Struggling with friction, understanding developed from study of the Work and from higher influences; it all happens when you just do those durations efforts...
