A doctrine I've come across twice now

There's a doctrine that says if you get to a place that is unusual in your development (awake in the Work sense, for instance) then God will get you the rest of the way.

There just seems to be a lot of waiting and uncertainty.

Don't know if this doctrine is true in the Work or Christian sense. All the banging of the head on a wall can be due to weakness and lack of valuation as much as to going where you're just not supposed to go...
