Getting acquainted with my old self...

I've been getting re-acquainted with my old self by reading this:

http://www.geocities.com/anndries/fourthway_notes.html

This was all 1999 to early 2000 forum writings (other than the original 13 or so posts (or sections, or 'chapters') that I wrote from scratch when I made my first website 'Fourth Way Advanced Notes' on Netscape, now defunct of course.

Without worrying about sounding arrogant or anything like that I can see why what I was writing, and how it was written, was some fresh air for some people. It was also on-the-mark. I mean, when I read it today I can see it objectively and see how I was writing all that from understanding and wording it intentionally and so on. I was on the tail end of many years of learning and doing the Work.

So I try to see where I went from there, or where I am now. I obviously zeroed in on the Bible and theology as my main focus after all that initial flurry of teaching and forums and emails and so on. Because I was looking for the background 'structure' or what is called the history, or plan of redemption. Creation, fall, regeneration, glorification. The movement and mechanics of it, and I knew it was in the Bible and theology.

But I did in that process get a little tainted with, ironically, the worldliness that exists in all those theological influences. Most likely unavoidable, and I don't want to overstate anything.

It's strange how fast years go by too. Especially when you see it via dates on things like blog comments you've made. I was reading a blog comment on some blog I rarely read that I'd written, I don't know, let's say last November, and it could have been last week. A third of a year ago. Then one year becomes three years. 2000 become 2003 becomes 2005, and it all seems similar. That's age, of course. As a child a summer is like ten years for an adult. But I'm thinking in terms of Work effort and opportunities and not losing the connection you've had in the past... - C.
