Kirke and church

Think about this. Circe (or Kirke) is symbolic of the Christian church when controlled by the devil. (Kirk, or kirke means church, and I know the language connection is not official, but there is always something there anyway, in the way language works over all.) Odysseus' men fell into it and were turned into pigs. Odysseus overcame it. Remember that Odysseus is the everyman on the Way; a king on the Way; a very Christian depiction.
