See this page for a very cool-headed, scholarly, and bold defense of the KJV against the modern versions.

A great quote from the page (he's directing this to the anti-KJV person he was ansering): If you believe in Biblical preservation, where is this preserved Bible you believe in? I have one I read daily [the KJV]. One I can produce and have put to the test. One which I allow to correct me and not one I have to correct.

This is a central point. The page also references Psalm 118:8 -

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
