So to see all that is in the post below (read the entire post, I mean it, it is not 'me' talking, it is universal truth) you have to have a vision of the history of man from the Garden and Fall, to the Atonement (Jesus on the cross) to the Second Coming and great Judgment and the New Heavens and New Earth. And in all that you just simply have to see that you are either "in Adam" or you are "in Christ." You just simply, also, have to see you are dead in sin and can't do anything about it. You were born with original sin. God created you good, but in Adam you fell. It's for your own good because if you'd stayed where God created you you'd just be a robot with no real individuality or life. So God allowed you to fall in Adam. The process of re-connecting up with God (regeneration by the Word and the Spirit) and having faith (conversion, re-orientating yourself internally from self-will to God's will, from the old man of sin to the new man of the Spirit) and being drawn back upwards (while also making efforts too) is the process in which you develop into a real being; a microcosmos of God Himself; you develop real consciousness, real will, and real understanding. You already are made in God's image now. You just have to reconnect with all that that means internally. In Work terms: Higher Centers, basically. And all that comes with attaining connection with Higher Centers. Awakening, inner command (control), unburying conscience, real will, the two conscious shocks, etc. But this great overall plan, which hinges on such a thing as blood sacrifice, has to be seen, in time - from one pole of eternity to the other pole of eternity - and your part in it has to be seen, what you are, where you stand, otherwise it will be meaningless or ridiculous to you...and you'll continue in sleep and vanity and shallow pursuit of shallow fascinations (or fake sufferings, or both)...
