Practical Godliness
On practical godliness this page is worth reading. It is excellent in many ways not the least being that it is short and to-the-point.
It's something you read and can either just note it and then forget, or you can make it your north star and retain it in memory and recognize it as the foundational thing that it is.
I find the little essay to be striking amidst the general run of theological articles one finds everywhere...and that's not to say that it is original or anything like that, but it's just striking in it's plain, to-the-pointness - and foundationalness - and its clear understanding of what it is saying. (Godliness is a word containing powerful meaning and reality. It really is an epic word. It's a summation word like virtue that also describes level of being, and you can even detect a little bit of transfiguation of the flesh in it, and inner ordering of essential aspects of being...something golden and royal...)
