The Work as spiritual warfare and sanctification on the foundation of faith in Christ

Remember when I started writing about Christianity on Work forums and blogs, and how it was not popular. I have the same feeling now, because I am moved, after reading your post, to remind all that being the most awake person in hell is still being in hell.

I know you weren't talking of Christianity in your post, but I just want to use the opportunity to say that it's so necessary to see the Work as a language of spiritual warfare and sanctification on the only real foundation of faith in Christ as that has meaning in the plan of God from eternity.

A mainstream Christian with understanding could make a case against Work types that we are *courting* spiritual warfare, and that that is not right or necessary. I would respond that regeneration itself, which we don't do but God does in us, courts spiritual warfare whether we like it or not.

Ephesians 6:10-18 assumes spiritual warfare is the lot of the born again follower of Christ.

And spiritual warfare is not just against the world and the devil, but against the flesh, i.e. our fallen nature which demands to control us. The Work as a language is preeminent in this battle with the flesh. But also the world. And in that the devil has his reins in us via features of false personality it is also a preeminent language of battle against the devil.

If you take the New Testament seriously then the commands to be awake and love your enemies covers pretty much all the Work teaches.

I say Calvin was a bare foot mystic compared to modern day Calvinists because at the heart of Calvinist doctrine is the mystical union with Christ (that Absolute II vs. Absolute III thing in Work language). The Work teaches this when it says behind Real I is God.

I harp on hardcore biblical doctrine because the Work is at that level. It's a big thing to know of the Work language and to be on-the-mark with it. It is also a big thing to have real understanding of apostolic biblical doctrine. These are summit attainments.

On the mark biblical doctrine is armor of God. Understanding and accepting it changes you at essential levels of your being.

The Work isn't 'churchy' language (and neither is the Bible churchy language either). It is not overtly emotional. It doesn't presuppose a weakness that mainstream Christianity seems to presuppose in its adherents because the Work is something you connect with after you are beyond that weak stage. After you've seen your own nothingness. Ideally.
