Meaning of 'tongues' as taught in the New Testament
There is something very big - a big subject - in the New Testament that theologians don't understand to this day.
It's the subject of 'tongues.' Speaking in tongues, the gift of tongues, etc.
I suspect it is not understood at the mainstream level (they of course adopt different beliefs in what it means, but they are all over the board, and no one really has it defined from the Bible itself) because the mainstream level is not a level where understanding of it can be attained.
I think the Work explains 'tongues'. The Work talks about language. There are levels or circles within circles where language - or tongues - becomes more clear and able to be understood between people. In the outer circle of the confusion of tongues (where Man #1,2,3 reside) language is its most chaotic and meaning gets missed easily and so on. But once a person enters the Man #4 level they have the beginnings of a language - a tongue - where they can communicate with others and be understood.
Man #1,2,3 of course can develop specialized languages when they need to communcate clearly and understand each other, but they are professional languages literally learned in schools: engineering, medical language, etc. (examples are numerous); but in the everyday social communication all live in and understand themselves and the world in they are in the confusion of tongues.
The Work language is a gift. It is a language enabling you to understand yourself and the world around you and to communicate with others in a precise way (which is why I would always have little patience for people on Work forums who would use the Work language beneath its level). It is part of the subject of 'speaking in tongues' that the New Testament speaks of. And it is a gift and teaching and illumination of the Holy Spirit, just as the Bible says the Holy Spirit taught the Pentecost Christians the remarkable knowledge of tongues.
