Coming into awareness of the Kingdom

What makes you different as a Christian from the average person on the street who isn't? You are conscious of having a King and being in a Kingdom that is not of this world, but that is real and will be manifested in the fulness of time (and before that perhaps when you physically die).

The average person on the street too is in a kingdom, but the kingdom of Satan, and isn't aware of it.

And you know the history of the Kingdom you are a subject of - an actual heir of - (the history is in the Bible), and you know the Plan of God, of the King of the Kingdom of God. You know His plan, and where you exist in that plan.

The average person on the street has a vague notion of birth and death and meaning (of his life), more than an animal does, but not much more.

The average person is mostly lost in a maze of false idol worship of one kind or another, to lesser or greater degree. For meaning he strains to find it by turning ultimately to the creation and to creatures rather than to the Creator Himself.

As a Christian you have the powerful, quickening reality of the Holy Spirit in you, connecting you to God and the Kingdom of Heaven. You also have the actual Oracles of God, actual direct, written Revelation, the Word of God. And your King is also a High Priest and Prophet. He mediates for you with God and He teaches you. As a King he protects you (though you are a king too, and should be capable of, as having the image of God fully, and based on the power above you, to protect yourself, i.e. you're not a child or a slave, but a king). You appropriate it all through faith, which is itself a gift from God.

All other world religions and ways have partial truth (if any); or they exist solely to counter the Truth; but in both cases it is the Truth of the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and His plan of redemption from eternity that is underlying it all.

Once regenerated by the Word and the Spirit you are an actual heir of the Living God, and you have to think and speak and act as such. "Say not that thou hast royal blood running in thy veins, and art begotten of God, except thou canst prove thy pedigree by this heroic spirit, to dare to be holy despite men and devils."

You walk in a different cosmos than the average person on the street. You walk in the Kingdom of God. The connection can waver from strong to weak to strong again, to weak again, yet the connection is fast and eternal due to the work done for you by your Prophet, High Priest, and King at His end above. Your connection can also be strong always.
